Flyers Summer Games (FSG) is intended to be a fun recreational summer ice hockey program for kids with birth years of 1994 – 2002. The focus of FSG is to give the player an opportunity to learn individual skills then apply those teachings immediately in a game environment. We play a unique format that promotes creativity and team play with nothing but rewards, working on and encouraging those things a player might not try in a game situation. Not only for goals scored in the scrimmage, but teams are rewarded points for implementing skills and tactics covered during each session.
The FSG is for beginner to advanced players. Participants will meet one designated night per week and the session with last for 90 minutes for each age group. Skills training will make up the first 45 minutes where coaches will teach specific skills and tactics to the participants with the remaining being a 45 minute refereed game where the participants can implement, practice and perfect those skills just learned.
The season will end with a Jamboree of games and competitions, along with a possible skate swap and picnic. The season won’t end witha FSG Summer Champion or a Stanley Cone. It will end with better players and the sense of reward for being innovative, being creative, trying new things, not being afraid to fail, and having fun! This is the true essence of POND HOCKEY, starting with a little instruction at the start of each session to get the creative juices flowing for the game that follows.
It is our desire for each team to have 15 skaters and at least one goaltender. The teams will be picked during an evaluation skate prior to the start of the FSG Program. The evaluation skates, rosters and league schedules will be posted on www.foothillshockey.org under Summer Programs in the left side menus.
There are head coaches per group. These coaches, coach ALL teams together and work to foster the mindset of not being afraid to fail for risk of losing, but failing, learning, succeeding with the only risk….fun and learning! Other qualified FHA coaches have offered their time & commitment to this program and player success.

All ice slots will begin at 5:40 PM and 7:20 PM with games starting at 6:25 PM and 8:05 PM respectively.
The cost of this summer program will be $275 per player. You can register online, or download a registration form under registration.
Check and Credit Card are the two forms of payment accepted.
FSG starts with an Evaluation Skate on Wednesday May 28th ONLY, 5:30PM - U8/Squirt and 6:40PM - Pee Wee/Bantam
Games Start Wednesday June 4th through season end on Saturday August 2nd with a Mini Olympics (9:10AM - 11:30AM)
