Meet Our Coaches: Coach Woody

My name is Jack Woodcock aka Coach Woody. I was born and raised in Flagstaff Arizona. I have had a passion for hockey since I was a child, starting my journey on the ice at the age of 7. Over the years, my dedication and love for the sport led me to excel in the world of hockey. I had the privilege of playing at the AA and AAA levels during my formative years, and I continued to hone my skills in Division 1 high school hockey, culminating in the incredible experience of winning a state championship.

Currently, I am actively involved with the Colorado Avalanche in their Amateur Hockey Department, where I contribute to the growth and development of the game of hockey. My commitment to the sport extends to the summer months when I proudly coach with Rocky Mountain Hockey Schools, helping young players refine their skills and reach their full potential.

I am thrilled to take on the role of the new U8 Coordinator for the Foothill Flyers. Working with young athletes and helping them discover the magic of hockey is a tremendous privilege. I’m dedicated to fostering their love for the game, nurturing their talents, and watching them grow into skilled and passionate hockey players.

I look forward to the exciting journey ahead and am honored to be part of the Foothill Flyers organization, where together, we’ll create a bright future for our budding hockey stars.
